ound off of Balut Island, Philippines by tangle net in 100-150 meters of water.  A favorite with everyone, I can
remember
when back on Kwajalein, there was this one collector who had put out the word that he would buy any
Cypraea stolida
that we found, but they were so uncommon we never did sell
one to
him because we kept all the ones we got.  I was only twelve years old back then, and Kwajalein being only 2 and a half miles long and a half mile wide, walking along the beach came rather natural-like, so that's what I did every day.  I'd walk around picking up as many shells as my pants would hold, and then I would haul them back to the trailer and throw them under the porch steps.  And you know, it was a long time before I realized that those shells under the porch were
disappearing
almost as fast as I was finding them...
Hermit crabs.
At night, hermit crabs would search the
entire
island for new homes!
And considering that we returned to Hawaii with over a
hundred
rare shells (without knowing it) I have often wondered about what we must have lost late at night to those midnight
marauders
!  Anyhow, that's what shells do, they remind you of the great times you had shell collecting, a

As for normal disclaimers and such... I have tried my best to make sure the photos are accurate color-wise, but as everyone knows, color is a... well, it's tough.  Between my phone changing the color due to the color of the shell, the background, the hole in the ozone layer AND it changing when I post it on eBay, and
then
knowing that your phone or laptop is going to do weird things to it color-wise too, well, let's just say, I tried my best, and I hope you will think so too when you hold your new beauty in your hands for the first time.
Second, like everyone else selling on eBay, I live and die by the feedback you leave, (please leave me fives!) so, with that in mind, please remember that I am anxiously sitting by my phone in case someone needs me to help them with something.  Being retired, I have too much free time on my hands, which is kind of a mixed blessing, if you know what I mean... for not only do I have enough free time to do all that I wish

to do, I also have so much that the gorgeous one notices, and

can be a problem.  She keeps me hopping, (from one hiding spot to another,) I'll tell you!  Anyhow, if you have a problem, let me know and I will quit hiding from her and promptly get back to you instead...

had any leisure time himself, because if he had, he would've known that true leisure time is
