Spiratone Curvatar Ultra Wide Angle Aux Lens, w/Series VII to 52mm Adapter, LN

Description

Offered is a Spiratone "Curvatar", an ultra-wide angle auxiliary lens that produces a fisheye-style image.  This lens has a Series VII thread, and is supplied with a 52mm step-down ring. (You can use any step-down ring that has a female Series VII end.)
These were very popular lenses during the 1960s, as some folks liked that "psychedelic" effect featured on covers of some rock albums of the era.
Condition:  Near Mint.  Rarely used.
The scenic picture in this listing was taken using this lens mounted on a 50mm prime, on a full frame DSLR.  The lens produces plenty of curvature of field, vignettes slightly, and loses some sharpness at the far corners.  It will flare noticeably if pointed at the sun ... this plus its tendency towards CA might make for some interesting LOMO style photos.
