    Description

    VINTAGE SEWING BASKET with LINER - This adorable sewing basket is sturdy as well as beautiful.  It has a wooden lid that opens on both sides with a heart shape cut out with fabric liner on each side of the lid as well as a heart shape handle.  The inside is lined and the bottom of the inside is cushioned and lined.  I do not know if this was handmade or not but it is very well constructed.  Beautiful wooden lid. The basket is 8 1/2" tall to top of the lid plus another 2 1/2" with handle, I measured under the lid and  and it is approximately 18" in diameter  and at the bottom it is 15" diameter wide.  I found inside the lid a note written on the wood so  must have been given as a Christmas gift in 1996.  So I know it is over 20 years old.  In excellent condition for the age.
    This would make a great gift for a sewer or just as a basket to put something special in.
